Partners for Sustainability

The Ocean Project's primary mission is to serve its partner network of zoos, aquariums, museums, nature centers and other conservation education organizations. We created the Seas the Day initiative in 2004 to provide our Partners with informational and inspirational content, ideas, and tools that can be used in your educational and outreach efforts.

This personal action initiative complements and expands upon The Ocean Project's efforts to enhance the conservation activities of its global network. We hope you will find it inspirational and useful. All Seas the Day tools such as the bookmark and calendar can be customized for Partners, and tailored for specific audiences or purposes. The minimal costs involved are to cover our expenses; the initiative is not a money-maker. The content and tools are there for you to use; please let us know if you find it helpful, as our continued funding depends on it.

There are many small and fairly easy things we each can do at home, the office, and everywhere in between. Taken individually these actions may seem inconsequential; taken collectively, with all The Ocean Project partners participating and helping reach your millions of visitors and members, we can make a powerful difference in our lifetimes.
