International Society for Mangrove Ecosystems
ISME is an international non-profit and non-governmental scientific society dedicated to mangroves. Via the ISME website you can learn about mangrove ecosystems, including information on the different mangrove species and the many animals that live there. National Wetlands Research Center
This clearinghouse of scientific and general information offers an extensive resource library of issue briefs, fact sheets, publications, data, and news. There is also a guide for teaching about coastal wetlands, an experts contact database, and information on volunteer opportunities.


 

Ramsar
The Ramsar Convention on Wetlands is an intergovernmental treaty which provides the framework for national action and international cooperation for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and their resources. Using this website you can learn all about the Ramsar Convention, designated Ramsar wetland sites, and supporting programs and events like World Wetlands Day. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency: Wetlands

UK Biodiversity Action Plan for Coastal Salt marshes
