Outreach Tips – How to Help Spread the Word
You can help us make this World Oceans Day the most successful yet by simply spreading the word. Here are some tips for getting people fired up about World Oceans Day in your community!
For organizations
- Display the World Oceans Day promotional poster and event flyer at your organization and distribute the action poster or brochure to visitors at your entrance, exit or gift shop.
- Create a widget for World Oceans Day on your homepage and link to information about your event and the World Oceans Day website.
- Submit the World Oceans Day press release highlighting your event to a local newspaper or radio station.
- Create a fun onsite World Oceans Day display addressing an issue connected to this year's theme "helping our climate – helping our ocean," with the action brochure and Seas the Day bookmarks available as a take-away.
